While I steadily released music all summer, I've also been relatively quiet in communicating with folks. 

There are two reasons for this. 

1. I've been experimenting. 

Some know Rizik as a piano project, others as "downtempo", "lo-fi"...  but the truth is: 

I don't even know. 

The music you've heard so far has simply been me getting to know myself as an artist. I'm nowhere near defining myself or my sound. 

And that excites me. 

I have a background in live music; hard rock, hip-hop, classical, percussion. I also have a ton of personal interests and perspectives, so I've been on a quest lately to pull from all those places. 

As a result I've been spending a lot of time listening to music from my past, playing new and old instruments, watching documentaries, and just swimming in a sea of experimentation. 

I can't tell you how many tracks I've made only to throw them away. 

And that's ok. :) 

I'm simply in search of the process. 

2. I've been creating music for others. 

Excitingly enough, I just wrapped up making music for a few products and companies you might have heard of that totally align with me. 

I can't talk about them just yet, but stay tuned for where you'll be able to hear new music in very interesting applications. ;)
